WHAT MAKES SALAKI SPECIAL?

At SALAK studio, we pay special attention to the details of the products we create. Below you will learn about several aspects that are very important to us, which are not visible at first glance.

However, for us, these are very important details that generate a huge amount of work time and even greater satisfaction from the production of each individual Salak.

Although the waiting time for an order is up to 35 working days, it does not mean that we do not have the wooden elements needed to create the product you have chosen.

The wooden balls or table tops that we use for our Salaks are created several months in advance. This is all so that the wood can additionally mature. Thanks to this, we are sure that our raw materials are of the highest quality.

*In the case of creating custom furniture, we use wood that also matures in our workshop for up to several months.

We use certified first-class wood. This material is additionally selected by us and the natural wood pattern is manually matched. This is additional work for us, which gives us great satisfaction.

What does this mean in practice?

When ordering a wooden Salak, you will receive a product without the natural discolorations that normally occur in wood. The furniture will not have excessive knots and the wood pattern will create a beautiful and unique pattern on the surface of the countertop.

The oils and varnishes we use are our own proprietary dye mixtures.

These are not finished products. We create unique, one-of-a-kind shades that you won’t find on store shelves!

It is not without reason that the edges of steel countertops are hand-sanded by us…

Thanks to our own welding method, which we have developed in our workshop, we are able to join together even very thin sheets of steel, ranging from 1 to 3 mm thick. Thanks to this labor-intensive method, the steel does not deform and the joints/welds are almost invisible.

Salaki are made mainly of solid wood and high-quality steel. We do not use semi-finished products such as plastics, veneers or MDF boards. Thanks to this, our products are renewable, asthma-friendly and, above all, will stay with you for many years.

Because only natural materials age in a noble way.

Thanks to the technique by which we drill a hole in wooden balls, we are able to control every detail. It is more difficult than it might seem, but thanks to our method we do not have to use masking elements and our elements are always perfectly matched.

We use the highest quality paints for painting the surfaces of steel countertops and other structures, which we import for you from Germany, France and Lithuania.

This paint has all the approvals and certificates proving its high quality.

Additionally, it is very resistant to high temperatures and is not flammable.

Steel construction elements and countertops are never painted with just one coat of paint. Depending on the shade, we have a specified number of coats and primers.

It took us many months of work to develop the technique that allows us to create our largest spheres. For a seemingly obvious form like a sphere, that’s a lot, but here every detail matters. With such huge dimensions, not only the size of the elements is important, but also the way they are glued.
